Indeed, I normally always go for an all natural route first, and only give in to store bought cleaning products if it’s really necessary (which is, in honesty, not often).

I have written extensively about the homemade cleaning products I use in my kitchen and in the home, as well as for cleaning your couch, or carpet or the garbage disposal.

Today, I’m going to show you how to clean your kitchen stove with only natural ingredients.

The following ones are very simple and easy recipes, and they only use natural ingredients you already have at home! They are, hands down, the best kitchen degreasers recipes I’ve used so far!

They all work very well on many kitchen surfaces, and not only on your stove.

you can use them for:
  • Kitchen cabinets;
  • Oven;
  • Grill;
  • Kitchen surfaces;
  • Backsplash;
  • Fridge and other appliances;
  • Windowsills;
  • Glass and mirrors;

HOW TO USE ALL NATURAL KITCHEN STOVE DEGREASERS

All the recipes I’m going to share today work very well to tackle a large number of jobs around your kitchen.

Naturally, you can use them to only clean the kitchen stove. However, they are very effective to clean the backsplash, your countertops and kitchen furniture, as well as your electric appliances and fridge.

If using on natural materials such as marble, or on delicate and expensive surfaces, check with the manufacturer first! Do not risk it! Leave expensive items to the professionals.

Moreover, always do a patch test first! My motto is always: better safe than sorry!

ALL NATURAL HOMEMADE KITCHEN STOVE DEGREASER WITH ESSENTIAL OILS

If you follow me on my blog and YouTube channel, you might know that I use Doterra essential oils in my home and around my family and pets.

Indeed we are big fans of those natural oils!

You can use all the following recipes with the addition of just a few drops of essential oils.

This is totally optional, but I highly recommend it.

Indeed, essential oils add a lovely natural scent to your homemade cleaning products. This aroma is 100% natural and toxin free.

And, you will benefit from the aromatic power of the oils while you clean. Win, win!

In addition to that, citrus oils such as lemon or wild orange, offer incredible degreasing powers, making your cleaning jobs easier and faster.

important

Only use 100% unadulterated and pure essential oils, from a reputable company.

Never use essential oils topically unless properly diluted, and only use them after a patch test.

Pay particular attention if you are pregnant, breast-feeding, or on older people and young children.

Some people might develop skin irritation or adverse reactions.

Never ingest essential oils without reading the label first, as not all oils can be consumed internally.

Always talk to your trusted medical practitioner and/or certified aromatherapist before using essential oils, especially if you suffer from any allergy, intolerance, are ill or are already taking any medication.

For any of the recipes in this post, you could choose from any of the following essential oils:

  • Lemon essential oil;
  • Wild orange essential oil;
  • Tea tree essential oil (melaleuca);

Natural Kitchen Stove Degreaser with White distilled Vinegar

White vinegar is one ingredient I use constantly in my home to clean and naturally deodorise surfaces.

I love it so much, I use it to make also an all natural fabric softener.

When it comes to clean your kitchen stove, vinegar acts as a natural disinfectant. Moreover, it quickly gets rid of any left over smell.

The following recipe is suitable for all types of kitchen stove, whether ceramic, glass, or stainless steel ones.

ingredients

You will need:

to use

Simply fill the spray bottle with plain vinegar.

To use, spray on surfaces and gently rub with a clean microfiber cloth. No need to rinse.

The vinegar will leave your kitchen stove clean, streak free and smelling good.

This recipe also works very well on glass, stainless steel and mirrors. Use a dry, clean cloth for those surfaces.

storage instructions

You can store the bottle in a dark cupboard, away from direct heat and sunlight.

Vinegar doesn’t spoil, so use it till you run out!

Natural Kitchen Stove Degreaser with DISH SOAP

Dish soap can do so much more for you than simply wash your dishes!

Indeed, dish liquid soap is very effective on all greasy surfaces and stubborn stains.

I use it for a homemade recipe to deep clean my shower and for so many more jobs around the home. Sometimes, if I run out of an another natural cleaning product, I use it to clean my kitchen stove.

Indeed, this heavy-duty degreaser recipe is kind of an all purpose cleaner!

For this method, it is best to heavily dilute the dish soap. Otherwise, it will be a nightmare to rinse off!

ingredients

You will need:

  • A spray bottle;
  • Plain, liquid dish soap;
  • 1 drop of essential oil (optional);
  • Water.

to use

To the spray bottle add one teaspoon of dish soap. Top up with warm water.

Shake well to mix.

With the help of a sponge, rub the mixture onto your kitchen stove, until all stains and food residue are gone.

Rinse the sponge thoroughly with lots of fresh, clean water.

After that, start rinsing the kitchen stove. Make sure to get rid of all the soapy mixture. Let the stove to air dry.

storage instructions

Water spoils very quickly. For this reason, it is best to only make up a small quantity at the time. Just mix the amount of cleaning solution needed for your job, and dispose of the left over liquids immediately.

IMPORTANT

Dish soap can leave marks on your kitchen stove, so it is very important to rinse it well.

You could follow up with a vinegar spray if you want a shine effect on your kitchen appliance (see recipe above).

Natural Kitchen Stove Degreaser with BAKING SODA

Baking soda is another kitchen staple I buy by the bucket loads!

It has so many cleaning purposes, such as for the kitchen, the bathroom, and the laundry. Moreover, it also helps to fight bugs and pests, as well as fleas on your pets.

It is very easy to use baking soda to clean your kitchen stove. This recipe doubles up as an effective oven cleaner as well.

Baking soda is particularly effective on tough stains and burned-on food.

This heavy-duty cleaner recipe is from the Doterra website.
