what are digital planners?

Digital planners are basically files in .pdf format that you will use with you favorite app (such as GoodNotes, Notability, Noteshelf, Onenote, or Xodo). They can be used both on iPhones and iPads, and Android devices.

What is the difference between digital and printable planners?

Digital planners and printable planners are both tools designed to help you to organise and manage your daily schedule, daily tasks, important events, top priorities and goals, but they differ in their formats and use.

Let’s have a look at some of the main differences!

Digital Planners features:

• Format: Digital planners are electronic files that are typically accessible on devices such as tablets, smartphones, or computers. They can be interactive, allowing users to input information, set reminders, and even sync with other digital tools.
• Features: Digital planners often come with dynamic features like hyperlinks, interactive checklists, and the ability to set reminders and alarms. They can also be easily updated, and some may offer collaborative features for shared planning.
• Convenience: Users can access digital planners on-the-go, making them convenient for those who prefer a more tech-savvy and mobile approach to planning.

Printable Planners Features:

A digital planner is like your all-in-one buddy for organising your life. Indeed, a digital planner is not only for planning your days. You can use it to jot down notes, a to-do list, for scheduling meals, setting goals, managing projects, and even keeping tabs on your finances.

what tools do you need to use a digital planner?

To unlock the full potential of a digital planner, you don’t really need much!

• Firstly, you will need a device such as a mobile phone, or an iPad or android tablet. A device is essential, as it will provide the “canvas” for your digital planner.
• Secondly, you will need a digital stylus or iPen or apple pencil in order to write on the device screen.
• Thirdly, a compatible note-taking app or dedicated digital planning software is crucial for creating, organizing, and customizing your digital planner pages. This is the software you will need to have installed on your device in order to open the digital file and use the planner.
• Last, but not least, a stable internet connection ensures you can sync your digital planner across devices and access it anytime, anywhere.

can you print out a digital planner?

Of course I understand that digital planners are not for everyone.

I for one am a paper diary kind of gal!

If a digital planner is not your thing, no problem at all: all of my 2024 planners can be used both on a digital platform, or can be printed out to use as a paper planner.

How do I print my own planner?

Printing out any of my Digital free planners is very easy. Simply follow these steps:

Select and download a Planner Template

Choose a planner template that you prefer among my free templates, and download it to your device.

Open the PDF File 

Open the downloaded PDF file using a PDF reader on your computer, such as Adobe Acrobat Reader.

Check your Print Settings

Access the print settings in your PDF reader. Adjust settings such as paper size, orientation (portrait or landscape), and print quality, based on your printer and personal preferences.

Print the planner

I would recommend that, before printing the entire planner, you printed a test page to ensure that the layout and formatting meet your expectations. Check for any errors or issues that may need adjustment. Once you’re satisfied with the test page, go on and print the entire planner. Ensure that you have enough paper and ink or toner in your printer to complete the task.

Binding and Organising

After printing the planner, you can choose to organise the printed pages in a binder or use a spiral binding service. Feel free to organise your brand new planner in the way that you prefer!
